Long Beach Civic Center

Long Beach Civic Center

Due to the current Long Beach City Hall/Main Library's Seismic deficiencies and high cost of retrofitting the existing buildings, the City of Long Beach desires a new Civic Center to include a New City Hall, a New Main Library, new Public Parking Facilities, and a new Revitalized and expanded Lincoln Park. In collaboration with the Landscape Architect, Gustafson, Gurhrie Nichol, Bennitt Design Group has provided professional insights in regards to Southern California standards, design recommendations and Streetscape Design intended to strengthen the Public Realm and to provide a sustainable landscape infrastructure.

The New City Hall, Main Library and Lincoln Park will not only provide and strengthen connections to the City and surrounding neighborhoods, but profoundly establishes a unique new City Government Center with publically accessible open spaces at the City Core.
