Digital Media Art Center, Chapman University

+ Project Info

Formerly the California Wire and Cable Company building, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the California Register of Historical Resources, this complex is redeveloped as the New Digital Media Arts Center for The Chapman University’s Film School. The primary purpose is to provide an ‘ideation’ lab/creative collaboration studio for Film School Faculties and Students to exchange ideas and further their craft while enjoying amenities such as volley ball courts, an outdoor dining court and a multi-purpose activity lawn/open space. The plan also includes a new University Tennis Center incorporating 7 NCAA courts along with team and spectator amenities. The water wise landscape palette and design integrates best practice storm water management facilities as well as state of the art water conservation measures.
